Catherine "Kay" Hutter, 91, of the Crestwood Village section of Whiting, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hutter was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister. She worked her entire life. During WW II she worked at Singer Sewing Machine in support of the Defense effort. After the war she worked for Lenard's Laundry and later in the catering business. Mrs. Hutter was born at 149 Ripley Place, Elizabeth, N.J. on January 10, 1926. She was baptized and received the sacraments...

Catherine "Kay" Hutter, 91, of the Crestwood Village section of Whiting, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hutter was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister. She worked her entire life. During WW II she worked at Singer Sewing Machine in support of the Defense effort. After the war she worked for Lenard's Laundry and later in the catering business. Mrs. Hutter was born at 149 Ripley Place, Elizabeth, N.J. on January 10, 1926. She was baptized and received the sacraments at St. Joseph RC Church, Elizabeth, N.J. She was married to Earl "Sonny" Hutter at St. Patrick's RC Church in Elizabeth and was married until the death of Earl in 2005. They were married for 56 years.
She is survived by her son James and his wife Sherri; daughter Maryann Hibberd and her husband Eddie; her grandchildren Jeffrey, Austin, Brad, Steven, Michelle and Kelly; and her cherished great grandchildren Elliott, Ava, Zack, Milo and Luciana.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting. A short visitation will be held Monday from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:45 a.m. Funeral Mass at the Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church in Whiting. Entombment will take place at Whiting Memorial Park.
